Biography
Melanie Durrant is a Partner and Senior Consulting Actuary in the Public Sector team at Barnett Waddingham (part of Howden). Melanie works as a Fund Actuary for a number of funds in the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) using her expertise to provide funding and wider strategic advice to the funds she advises. Melanie provides regulatory, valuation, employer and accounting related advice, delivering high quality work with a focus on excellent client service. She strives to provide exceptional support to her funds and to find pragmatic solutions. She is able to communicate technical issues in a way that is clear and understandable in order to help her clients make better informed decisions. Melanie leads the marketing public sector team and is responsible for LGPS Pulse, the monthly BW newsletter focussing on the LGPS. Melanie is also the Lead Sustainability partner at Barnett Waddingham, responsible for setting our firmwide sustainability goals, developing the sustainability services that are offered by BW as well as supporting sustainable operations of BW as a firm.Member since
