Biography
Councillor Chris Weaver is the Cabinet Member for Finance, Modernisation, and Performance at Cardiff Council and has been since 2017. He was first elected as a Councillor in 2012 to represent the Cathays ward in the city, and re-elected in 2017 and 2022. In addition to cabinet portfolio responsibilities for Finance, HR, Procurement, and Health & Safety, Chris has been Chair of the Cardiff and Vale Pensions Committee since 2017. He is Cardiff’s representative on the Wales Pension Partnership (WPP), and for the year 2022-23 is Chair of the WPP’s Joint Governance Committee. He represents the Council on the Welsh Local Government Association (WLGA) General Assembly, and has recently joined the board of Data Cymru as a WLGA nominee.Member since
